About this file
This is an Operations Security (OPSEC) Awareness Guide for contractors working at Dover Air Force Base, outlining required security measures and countermeasures to protect sensitive information.
The guide details six key areas of information protection: Security Measures, Personal Identifiable Information (PII), Mission Capabilities, Force Readiness, Force Structure, and Physical Infrastructure. For each area, specific countermeasures are mandated, including: 100% shred policies for sensitive documents, encryption requirements for email communications, use of Privacy Act coversheets, password protection of documents when encryption isn't available, and strict need-to-know access controls. The guide specifically restricts sharing of information about aircraft, personnel, logistics, supplies, manning strength reports, diagrams, maps, and mission-related materials. It explicitly prohibits posting contract-related information on social media and requires immediate reporting of suspicious behavior. The document identifies authorized personnel who may receive technical details, including Project Managers, Inspectors, Contracting Officer Representatives, Contracting Specialists, and Contracting Officers.
