About this file
This is a guidelines document issued by the Cherokee County School District (CCSD) Procurement Services Department that establishes behavioral and operational requirements for non-employee vendors and service providers with limited access to students. The document outlines that nonemployees may only contact students as authorized by school administration, must remain in designated areas relevant to their assigned responsibilities, and are restricted to conducting business during regular school hours or prearranged times. Nonemployees are prohibited from soliciting student participation in their work activities and must be accompanied by a school employee when accessing areas where children are present during the school day. The guidelines apply to vendors marketing products and other third-party service providers engaged with the district.
The document establishes professional conduct standards requiring nonemployees to maintain appropriate behavior and language while on school premises, with explicit prohibitions against smoking and offensive or inappropriate language. These guidelines serve as a foundational compliance requirement for all proposers responding to the Cherokee County School District's request for proposals to provide an adaptive learning digital platform for mathematics and English Language Arts instruction, ensuring that vendor personnel maintain appropriate boundaries and safeguarding protocols when interacting within school environments.

• Non‐employees are only to be in the building in designated areas necessary to conduct their specific responsibilities.
• Non‐employees should not react to student actions/behavior other than to report these actions to the administration.
• Non‐employees, while on school premises, are expected to conduct themselves properly in both actions and speech.
• Non‐employees are authorized to be on school premises only during regular school hours or during times pre‐arranged with the school administration.
• Non‐employees who conduct business within a school must do so without soliciting students to participate or aid them in performing their responsibilities.
• Non‐school employees may not access areas of a school building during the school day where children are permitted without an employee escort.
• Smoking and the use of offensive or inappropriate language is not permitted.
