About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the AZ FS 289(1) AZ NFSR 289 Bridge Replacement project dated October 27 and 31, 2025. The Q&A addresses two specific technical inquiries related to the bridge replacement project. The first question concerns Section 565 – Drilled Shafts, with clarification provided to embed permanent steel casings a minimum of two feet into "soil-like bedrock" as detailed on Sheet S3 and in the Geotechnical Report. The second question addresses load limitations on the existing bridge, with the response directing the reader to Amendment A001 for details about crossing the existing bridge or providing a temporary crossing, given the discrepancy between the current 20-ton load limit and the 100-ton equipment needed for foundation installation.
