About this file
This document contains questions and answers from an advertisement for a federal highway construction project in California. The project consists of repaving approximately 2.5 miles of roadway between Ferguson Road and Imperial Dam, and involves pulverizing the existing pavement for reuse as base material prior to new paving. Temporary traffic control will be necessary throughout construction to minimize disruptions. The contractor must provide a field office and obtain water from the Colorado River or Senator Wash Reservoir by coordinating with the Bureau of Reclamation. Licensed surveyors are required for certain tasks. A control strip will not be needed for asphalt paving startup. The gradation requirements for full depth reclamation conform to the specified section of the state specifications manual. Traffic can use the road during construction if maintained according to the manual's requirements.
