697DCK-25-R-00408 - PHX ARSR HVAC Replacement

Pre-Bid Site Visit: July 31, 2025 Bids Due: August 14, 2025

Bid Extension: N/A

1. The drawings show a new location for the new RTUs and then the fact duct should have ice shields covering the duct. Are there any existing ice shield where the duct is to be run? There are currently no ice shields in place.

FAA: The Radome catwalk provides some measure of protection but not complete coverage. The duct between the Radome platform, equipment building, and the RTUs themselves will need coverage in the new location.

2. Is there a detail for the concrete slab or information on the slab requirements… i.e. concrete strength, slab thickness. Can we assume the width and length of the slab is to scale on the drawings provided?

FAA: The current drawing is specified out as Trane 15 Ton unit; however, size may change depending on the contractor’s decision. The size and strength of the pad will be dependent on the submitted units and may need to be adjusted based on the approved unit submittals.

3. Do you have any electrical schematics for the building or further information on the number of electrical fixtures that need to be replaced? Are they all fixtures or just exterior?

FAA: Electrical schematics and prints for the facility are not available. All light fixtures, approximately twenty-four (24), will need replacement. The contractor will be responsible for confirming the actual quantity of light fixtures.

4. Do you have any additional details on these Trane units that you all would like replaced?

FAA: See RFI Attachment 1

5. Would it be possible to share any site photos?
