697DCK-22-R-00531 DFWA and DFWB Raised Floor Replacement Questions and Answers
1. How many square feet?
A: Please see drawings for locations of the various finishes.
2. What are the times and days could we work? We know it’s over night, but wanted to see how many hours a day we could put in?
A: Please see General Notes 1 on drawings. DFWA-D-ATCT-A005 and DFWB-D-ATCT-A010 for the East and West towers respectively. Also, please note that General Notes apply to all drawings.
3. Will there be a place to store supplies?
A: No, the contractor will be responsible for properly storing all materials.
4. Does the bid have to have a complete breakdown of all items and work?
A: No, but at a minimum include the following line items.
· Mobilization & Demobilization
· Raised Floor System - Carpeted Panels – Materials
· Raised Floor System - Carpeted Panels – Labor
· Raised Floor System - Vinyl Tile Panels – Materials
· Raised Floor System - Vinyl Tile Panels – Labor
· Carpet Replacement - Material
· Carpet Replacement - Labor
· Vinyl Tile Replacement - Material
· Vinyl Tile Replacement - Labor
· Leak Detection System - Material
· Leak Detection System - Labor
· Bond
· Profit and Overhead
5. If awarded how does payout process work?
A: Upon award, our accounting department would reach out to you concerning the process of setting up an account and this is how payments requests are received and paid.
6. Buy American Act, does it apply in this project?
A: Yes. Please see 3.6.4-3, Buy American Act- Construction Material (APR 2022).
7. ESD carpet BONDED to raised floor tile, Manufacture(s) we called said, they Do Not do that at all, have not done that in years. Therefore, it will have to be done manually with a non-toxic odorless adhesive. Is that going to be admissible?
A: ESD carpet is not required. As indicated on the drawings, ESD Vinyl Tile is required in equipment rooms. Carpet tiles may be adhered by installers. Carpet tiles must be installed in a one-to-one configuration that precisely match panels. Carpet tiles will be adhered to panels prior to installation.
8. Is the USG amenable to value engineered proposals?
A: No. Different products may be used as long as they are an approved equal, per the Specifications.
