LIST OF QUESTIONS:
-Requests must be emailed to carey.gonzalez@faa.gov no later than FRIDAY, August 20, 2021 at 18:00pm CST.
Please place “Attention: Janitorial Services in Austin, Texas” in the subject line of your email. Requests received after this date and time will not be honored. No telephone requests will be accepted.
1. Does the CO intend to provide a task and frequency Chart for both the Janitorial and ground Maintenance or is the Contractor going to provide all the services every day with the exception of Saturdays and Sundays? Please read the SOW's
2. In the Janitorial Services Statement of Work (SOW) it states under Paragraph 4 those services that will be performed seven (7) days a week. How much square footage area is encompassed in cleaning for these two (2) days. Regular SOW cleaning will be the same square footage, COVID-19 Level II Cleaning and RL3 cleaning will be in the appropriate SOW and in the training.
3. For Cleaning these areas during these two days (Saturdays and Sundays) will the required hours of cleaning be the same as the other five (5) days? Yes, COVID-19 Level II Cleaning and RL3 cleaning will be in the appropriate SOW.
4. Will CO provide a drawing of the different floor levels of the building, Colored coded showing the areas the Contractor is responsible for cleaning? No, that is why there was a site visit.
5. Will the CO request a deep cleaning of the building first? No
6. Will the CO provide the contractor an estimate of the size of the outside grounds to be maintained? No, that is why there was a site visit.
7. Is the Contractor going to be able to vacuum and cause noise while in the Tracon room during the hours of 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM? Yes
8. Because the Building is a twenty-four (24) hour operation and the cleaning hours are only from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM is a Porter going to be required for the other nineteen (19) hours to conduct emergency cleaning, especially in the bathrooms, and break areas? I would suggest having someone on standby just incase. Also you will need back-ups incase something happens to the original crew
9. Are there other Steps in the badging process that are unique to the FAA other then what is cited in the RFQ? A form has to be completed and a background check is done, including fingerprinting, then you go to badging location and order your badge.
10. Is this contract covered by the EO 13706 under FAR 52.222-62 Paid Sick Leave or does it fall under 3.6.2-46 (Oct 2020) Paid Sick Leave Wage Determination “Note”? 3.6.2-46 (Oct 2020) Paid Sick Leave Wage Determination
11. Are we to send out the surveys to our customers or is this something you are sending out to the past performances we supply to you? You send them out and they send them to me after filling them out.
12. The janitorial scope of work under item 5, Monthly Additional Services , section E, includes notes to clean all tower cab window glass areas, inside and outside. We could not see any access from inside the tower area to get to the outer exterior cab windows for cleaning. How are those to be safely accessed if the exterior glass is expected to be cleaned? There is a catwalk around the outside of the tower cab. The door is generally kept locked, so Tech Ops would need to know when they plan to accomplish the cleaning of the exterior windows to provide access.
