-On page 9 of the solicitation, SA 32 Small Business, it appears the NAICS code 591720 may contain a typographical error. it should be 561720.

-Do landscape personnel also require the same level of badge access to work outside the facility as the cleaning crew? No, landscapers need a badged, only individuals entering the building
-Are there any significant changes to Statement of Work since the last solicitation? I don't believe so, best to compare the two just to make sure mailto:carey.gonzalez@faa.gov
-Does contract require a performance or payment bond? payment and performance bonds are for construction contracts over $150,000. The FAA may also require proposal guarantees, payment bonds, performance bonds, and insurance for any contract when necessary to protect FAA's interests. I will not require any bonds for this contract.
-Who is current contractor and contract number? DTFASA-17-C-00006 Unique Cleaning Service, Inc.
-Solicitation mentions "Estimated price range for this project: $350,000 to $550,000." What is current annual contract price for services? Please pull up the contract DTFASA-17-C-00006 Unique Cleaning Service, Inc.
- On page 5, letter E, of the Statement of Work for janitorial services, is outlined the contractors responsibility for lift expense needed to change lights and bulbs in the parking lot.
With no other details it is difficult to ascertain how often this must be done. Lift rental expense is extremely expensive with the typical one day rental with pickup and delivery being at least $500, this makes it difficult to include in our proposal what those costs may be.
Some facilities set a requirement of changing lights or bulbs once a year or some other schedule for example. If we had to do this each time a bulb burns out and requires replacement this could become an expensive situation for the contractor that is difficult to include in a yearly bid proposal.
Please detail the expectation for light replacement. Is the FAA responsible for the providing the material such as bulbs? If bulb correction does not fix the problem and the light may require a licensed electrician to change the ballast or do other wiring, or replace the entire fixture, are those costs including left rental to accomplish that work borne by the FAA? Under this section of the SOW, is the contractor responsible to replace light bulbs only to be specific? Contractors will NOT be replacing/changing the light bulbs
In the Statement of Work Grounds Keeping Service, first page, item E speaks to in case of loss or damage to lawn areas or shrubs, due to negligent acts of the contractor or their employees. We assume they have an automatic watering system. Failure of any watering system or any maintenance to a watering system would not constitute negligence of the contractor requiring the contractor to replace the lawn or shrub areas. Please confirm. Operation failures or maintenance issues to the watering system will not constitute negligence of the contractor.
