1. Is the Uniform Bipartisan Infrastructure Law Report to completed as apart of the response or after award?
a. The Uniform Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) Report that is now known as the Infrastructure Investment Job Act (IIJA) is required to be submitted as part of the response.
2. In the solicitation there is reference to an FAA ID and an FAA PIV card as it relates to gaining access to the campus. Is there two or is this the same just two different names?
a. FAA PIV will not be issued to contractors at this time. Facility may issue temporary FAA passes only to gain access to the site.
3. What is involved with gaining access card, temporary or daily, for construction crew access to the campus?
a. A list of individuals working on the project (US Citizenship and current valid ID are required to be onsite) will be provided to the FAA POC to provide FAA access/temporary passes to be admitted to the site.
4. Is there a vehicle inspection process for the construction work vehicles for temporary, daily access or vehicle badging?
a. A daily vehicle inspection check will take place per FAA security orders.
5. The Solicitation refers to this project as Design-Build. That said, is there any expectation for drawings for the work areas or will shop drawings be sufficient?
a. Shop drawings are sufficient for this work.
6. What special testing is expected in this work? Concrete, welding, steel, rebar or subgrade? If there is, who is responsible for the inspector, the FAA or the contractor for contracting, scheduling and cost?
a. Inspection will be performed by the FAA.
b. For WELDING: See Attachment - FAA Welding Inspection
Checklist.
c. For CONCRETE: CONSTRUCTED AS A 6" THICK (Or to match existing concrete thickness) WITH #4 REBAR @ 12" O.C. TOP
FINISH SHALL HAVE A 3/4" CHAMFER. PAD SHALL BE HIGH
STRENGTH (3000 PSI). Contractor to provide a manifest/receipt from the concrete plant showing the mix strength.
7. Please provide the sign in sheet.
a. A sign in sheet for all vendors arriving at the FAA location will not be provided as this could undermine the integrity of a competitive solicitation.
8. Please provide a Geotechnical report.
a. Recent geotechnical report is not available to be provided.
9. Please provide us with a Structural drawing of the building where we will be fabricating the stairs.
a. FAA will provide structural drawing later to the winning bidder.

a. FAA will provide architectural drawing later to the winning bidder.
11. Will Stamped drawings be required on this project?
a. Stamped drawings are required.

a. Only the ramp does not need to be brought up to ADA compliance. All stairs shall be brought up to ADA compliance.
13. the Scope of Work, item #5, it mentions to demo the existing staircase, however, during the site visit it was mentioned that staircase can be fabricated from all steel, please let us know if this is valid?
a. Staircase can be fabricated from all steel.
14. Per Scope item #5 it mentions for the stairs, railing, and doors to be all galvanized, can the items mentioned be non-galvanized and be metal/steel, rather than galvanized items?
a. Stairs, railing and doors shall be all galvanized.
15. Per scope item #5, if steel staircase is acceptable to be fabricated, can we build it with an open case rather than enclosed to install the exterior access door?
a. If steel staircase is used instead of the concrete staircase, then enclosed case is required to install the exterior access door.
16. Per Scope item #5 there is a door access under the staircase that leads into a section of the building’s basement. We noticed after opening the outside access door that leads into the basement, the concrete is not at a finished level, with the exterior concrete floor. For us to build an all-steel staircase, we would need to pour concrete under the existing stairs to have a level finish floor, which is roughly an area of 2’Hx10’L for us to meet the finish floor exterior level, let us know if this is acceptable.
a. This is acceptable.
17. Per scope item #5, there is an electrical conduit running from the exterior of staircase which goes runs through the exterior access door leading into the basement. Please provide as built and location of the panel to shut down during construction.
a. Breaker shut down will be done by the FAA upon coordination with the FAA POC.

22. Where will our staging area be located, as this seems like a heavy traffic area?
a. FAA will provide staging area plans located at the north lot that is secured to the winning bidder.
