A. A Contractor staging area for the work has not yet been determined, the type of storage is up to the Contractor. It may be just outside the field access gate so Contractors can receive deliveries without requiring field access & escort.

A. The FAA will have an FAA Resident Engineer (or other rep.) on site at all times.

A. Yes. (per call outs and related notes on Contract dwg. Everything above the antenna plate (see same drawing detail C, for “antenna plate” call out) will be removed for the roof rehabilitation work.

Q. Will dual stud anchors be tack welded?

A. The Contractor shall tack weld or peen dual stud anchor threads (GFM items 6 & 7).

Currently not included in the Contract, an amendment will be forthcoming.

Q. Does location of monitor antenna support brackets need to be determined prior to applying the roof?

A. Yes. Because the dual stud anchors are installed under the copper around the roof edge it will result in the disturbance of the existing copper roof edge (see note 3, A005). The Contractor must make any necessary copper repairs prior to (copper) roof approval by the COR (see note 11, A005). The Copper (existing) roof condition must be approved prior to the application of the elastomeric roof.
