About this file
This document contains an amendment to a solicitation for ship repair and drydocking services. The U.S. Maritime Administration is seeking a firm fixed price contract for repair and maintenance work on the training ship T.S. General Rudder, including inspection and cleaning of fuel tanks and pumps, replacement of ladder rungs, and calibration of meters and switches. Site visits are scheduled for August 12-13 and questions are due by August 18, with quotes due by August 20. The period of performance is from September 10 to October 31, 2021. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses with a NAICS code of 336611 and size standard of 1,250 employees.
The amendment reschedules site visits, extends the question deadline to August 18, and changes the quote due date to August 20. It also provides responses to contractor questions, including clarifying that technical representatives and certain equipment will be government-furnished. An asbestos survey report and additional technical manuals are attached.
