About this file

This document is an Amendment (0001) to Solicitation 6923G225B000002 for a renovation project at the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) in Kings Point, NY. The amendment extends the solicitation due date to April 7, 2025, schedules a second site visit for March 20, 2025, and provides a comprehensive set of questions and answers related to the project details. The renovation involves upgrading the Athletics Conference Room in O'Hara Hall, including work such as installing new carpet (Milliken Moray with Navy Blue background), acoustic ceiling tiles, light fixtures, black-out shades, and a theater-style stepped platform.

Key project specifications include a total project duration of 120 consecutive calendar days after Notice to Proceed, with an estimated completion time of 4-6 weeks. The solicitation is a total small business set-aside with a construction budget between $100,000 and $250,000, using NAICS code 238350. The project requires carpentry, finishing, and some electrical work, with contractors needing to comply with local, state, and federal codes, including the Davis-Bacon Act Wage Determination NY20250012. Interested contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and will be evaluated on a lowest-price, technically acceptable basis.
