WA PACIFIC 2015(1)

Public Access Enhancement to Willapa National Wildlife Refuge

# General Technical Question Answer Date

1 X

Regarding Item A0156 62101‐0000 Monument.

Plan Sheet D.9 indicates that only station and alignment is to be stamped into the cap and that a professional land surveyor be used. Is this intended to be submitted/recorded with the County or USGS etc.

We have received your question and will be providing an appropriate response.

2 X

I have a question on the Roadway Aggregate:

What grading designation is it and on which Table #? I have not been able to find it in the plans.

See FP‐14 Section 302 and Subsection 703.06.

5/21/2020

3 X Do we need to get a new Bid Bond to reflect the new bid date? The bond we have now says Bid Date May 26th.

No. Just acknowledge receipt of all amendments issued.

4 X

Is there any information on the grading for the upper parking lot next to the new building?

We visited the site and saw a dozer staged that had rough graded the area. We are trying to determine how much more grading will be needed before the parking lot can rocked per the new plans, but we can’t find any grading information for this area

We have received your question and will be providing an appropriate response.

Check General or Technical

5 X How does the excavation for the headquarters parking lot pay? Will it be covered under roadway or subgrade excavation?

The Headquarters Parking Lot Typical Section on Sheet C.2 does not show any excavation, but structure excavation under Section 209 is needed to install the culvert under the Headquarters Parking Lot Access Road.

5/29/2020

6 X If any embankment is required for the headquarters parking lot, would it be incidental to the bid item it pays under?

See FP‐14 Subsections 204.02, and 204.17. 5/29/2020

7 X

Lastly, with the addition of the NWP 23 permit to the special provisions. Is this permit for information only? The permit is addressed to US fish and Wildlife and has many requirements listed. Are any of these items to be the responsibility of the General Contractor?

Amendment A004 adds this typical government‐obtained permit, and also modifies the Special Contract Requirements to ensure that the conditions of this added permit are met. The Contractor is responsible for the requirements of all government‐obtained permits according to Subsection 107.01.
