About this file
This notice provides details on an upcoming bridge replacement project on Alaska's Glenn Highway. The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities will be soliciting bids to replace the existing bridge over the Kings River between mileposts 66.0 and 67.2 on the highway approximately 17 miles northeast of Palmer, Alaska. The project scope includes bridge construction, grading, paving, drainage, erosion control, stabilization work, and removal of the existing bridge over a 1.2 mile segment. Prospective bidders are encouraged to view the project site in the fall as winter conditions will limit access starting in mid-October. Technical questions should be directed to the Western Federal Lands Highway Division by email, while general inquiries can be made via email or phone. Preliminary plans are attached to aid bidders, and the full solicitation documents will be posted to SAM.gov in winter 2021-2022. Notification of the posting can be received by following the opportunity on SAM.gov.
