About this file
This document is an Addendum to Invitation to Bid Number 6904 OF issued by the Nebraska Department of Administrative Services, State Purchasing Bureau (SPB). The purpose of this solicitation is to select a qualified contractor to provide Value-Added Furniture, Kits, and Components for Cornhusker State Industries (CSI). The contract may not be exclusive, as the State reserves the right to contract for similar goods from other sources. The addendum provides responses to questions submitted by bidders, including details on previous related awards, pricing and discount structures, product specifications, and the evaluation process. Bidders are permitted to submit alternatives and tiered pricing, and may provide supplemental information using Attachment C.
The pricing terms allow for a cost-up basis for kit pricing rather than a discount from list price. Bidders must comply with all contract clauses, but can propose alternatives if they disagree with any specific terms. The responses will be evaluated by DAS for responsiveness and by CSI for conformance to specifications and alternatives provided. The contract term and any renewal options are not specified in the documents provided.

We can provide tiered pricing accordingly. Will this be acceptable?

In the bid it states that no substitution is allowed for Core Items yet on page 25 Section E1 it urges manufacturers to submit alternatives with pricing and specifications. Which is it? Can we offer alternatives to what is listed or not?
