About this file

This is a Summary of Work document for an early procurement package bid issued by North Carolina Central University (NCCU) for the Walker Complex HVAC and BAS Upgrades project. NCCU is seeking a qualified vendor to furnish and deliver one rotary-screw compressor water chiller as an early procurement item. The chiller must be delivered to the site between February 15, 2027 and March 1, 2027, with delivery date identified as a critical consideration. The equipment will be owner-purchased directly from the equipment supplier and subsequently installed by a contractor through a separate forthcoming bidding process. Vendors are encouraged to submit multiple delivery options and reasonable deviations from technical specifications to improve delivery timelines, though major deviations will not be considered.

The equipment supplier is responsible for providing shop drawings and submittal data, delivering the chiller with coordination of exact delivery date, ensuring compatibility with existing concrete housekeeping pads, providing internal VFD cabling and wiring, leading chiller and VFD checkout and refrigerant charging, supplying required insulation and touch-up paint, coordinating delivery logistics with the contractor, providing owner training, and furnishing operations and maintenance documentation. The supplier will also support system startup and commissioning activities. No specific pricing terms, set-asides, or contract duration details are outlined in this summary document.
