About this file

This is a vendor onboarding notice from Marion County, Florida, informing vendors of the requirement to register with PaymentWorks, a secure vendor portal system used for vendor management and payment processing. The notice applies to all vendors conducting business with Marion County, including those bidding on the 2026 Marion Oaks Overlay Units 9, 10 and 12 project, which involves resurfacing approximately 11.65 miles of minor local road sections in Marion Oaks Units 9, 10, and 12. Resurfacing work includes roadway preparation, leveling, shoulder removal, temporary striping, permanent thermoplastic striping, and stabilization of all areas disturbed during construction. Existing vendors who have previously done business with Marion County are not required to register to continue doing business; however, any updates to company information must be completed through PaymentWorks.

During PaymentWorks registration, vendors can select their preferred payment method, either ACH (direct deposit) or check payment. Registration through PaymentWorks is strongly encouraged to ensure timely payment processing, as delays in registration or updates to vendor information may result in payment delays. PaymentWorks enables vendors to securely provide and manage business and banking information while reducing errors and duplicate records. Vendors can update their information at any time through the portal. Marion County Procurement and PaymentWorks Support are available to answer questions regarding the registration process and system functionality.
