About this file
This evaluation criteria document outlines the assessment standards for an Informal Request for Proposal issued by Broward County for a Project Specialist for Continental Europe Travel Trade to support the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau. The contract encompasses comprehensive project management and promotional activities across Continental European markets, including coordinating activations and trainings with tour operators and travel agencies, participating in major travel trade shows (ITB Berlin, UNIQUE Switzerland, MyCruise Denmark, Going Italy, and Showcase USA-Italy), attending media marketplace events, executing roadshows in multiple countries, and organizing destination preview missions to Greater Fort Lauderdale. The vendor must provide detailed proposals for each activity including registration fees, travel costs for in-person representatives, marketing and sponsorship fees, and final reports with appointment notes and follow-up processes. Additionally, the vendor is required to deliver quarterly market research and trend analysis specific to Continental European outbound travel and maintain updated lists of top-producing Continental European tour operators every six months throughout the contract period.
Evaluation criteria are divided into four primary categories: (1) ability of professional personnel, requiring resumes, certifications, organization charts, and identification of key team members; (2) project approach, detailing methodologies for each event and activity; (3) past performance, requiring three references from similar work completed within the past three years and evidence of satisfactory completion on time and within budget; and (4) vendor workload assessment, requiring disclosure of active projects and confirmation of capacity to meet project-specific time and budget requirements. The estimated contract budget is $99,900, with vendors required to submit pricing exclusively through the BPRO electronic portal by the specified deadline. Failure to submit pricing through BPRO renders the vendor non-responsive to the solicitation.
