About this file
This document is an Addendum No. 1 to a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Argonne National Laboratory's Site Access Management Solution (SAMS). The addendum extends the proposal due date to April 18, 2025, at 5:00 PM local time and provides detailed clarifications to vendor questions. Key requirements include developing a comprehensive site access management system to replace existing visitor management and badging systems, with specifications for processing approximately 3,000 user passes, 300 approvers, and 10 power users.
The solution must support credential issuance with 2D and 3D barcodes, ISO7816 and ISO14443A contactless cards, integration with DSX and Lenel OnGuard access control systems, and compatibility with Entrust Sigma DS3 and Datacard SD260/SD360 printers. Additional critical capabilities include PIV card authentication (primarily on Windows PCs), Active Directory SSO, custom workflow modifications, liability waiver tracking, and connection to Workday HR systems. The project has a targeted deployment timeline from June to December 2025, with the system needing to meet Department of Energy order requirements and laboratory-specific operational needs.
