Please see the following questions and answers below. Bids are due today at 5PM CST.

1. Have any areas recently had a forest service control burn for undergrowth control and forest health or if any of the sites had dozer clearing or logging through the summer?

All areas in question are in established forest which had clearing for construction and installation of our facility in the last year and a half beside the tower site. This site has had minimal clearing and is in a well-established forest. I am not aware of any burns in this area.

1. Also, for the mowing services how frequently should it take place?

There should be no mowing in this RFP. I’ve provided an updated SOW with the mowing removed . We apologize for the inconvenience.

1. Do we require arborists for this job?

This is up to the bidder. If you would like to have an arborist available to survey partially down trees or risky snags, you may, however the SOW is for trees that have fallen.

1. Who is responsible for disposing of the material?

As stated in the SOW, trees should be moved off to the side of the work area and left. There is no need for disposal.

1. Is there any flexibility with the amount of insurance required?

Please send a proposed exception markup to the insurance requirements

1. Do you require a Binder?

We’re requesting a certificate of insurance.
