Tim Thompson, certified asbestos inspector, and management planner inspected the Jackson VAMC. The inspection started on 29 September, 2022 at the Seattle VAMC and was escorted by Jennifer Newman.
AHERA 6-MONTH ASBESTOS SURVEILLANCE – Inspections
At the Jackson VAMC HGS inspected 2 buildings. The CLC was not inspected as it has been recently renovated; I inspected both floors during the renovation process. Both floors were totally gutted, exterior wall to exterior wall and floor to ceiling.
HGS used the asbestos assessment sheet to locate the asbestos-containing materials and visually inspect the condition of the material. A surveillance sheet has been attached with the inspection date and material conditions.
