About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document for RFP 26-024, a solicitation for General Contractor services related to LED Signs, involving a county school system. The Request for Proposal seeks LED signs that must be compatible with existing signs' connectivity to the school and central office, with a specific requirement for brand compatibility with the district's operating system and a preference for Vantage-branded signs.

The Q&A addresses two key points: first, potential flexibility in LED sign brand selection if specifications are met and significant cost savings are possible, with a mandatory requirement for connectivity and system compatibility; second, confirmation that electrical power should already be in place from previous LED sign installations, eliminating the need for bidders to include electrical service infrastructure in their proposals. The document emphasizes the importance of maintaining consistent technological integration across the school district's signage network.

Q & A

RFP 26-024

General Contractor – LED Signs

1. If there is a significant savings in cost, if the specs requested match the bid requirements, and the products come with a 7 year parts warranty, is the county willing to accept bids for LED Signs that are not branded as Vantage? Must bid on specifications detailed in RFP as we need to be consistent with existing signs and their connectivity to the school and central office. The brand must be compatible with our operating system.

2. Will the electrical power be provided at the proposed sign location for each school or will electrical services to run power from the school to the sign location need to be included in the bid? The electric power should already be in place from the previous LED signs.
