About this file
This is a vendor onboarding notice from Marion County, Florida, outlining requirements for participation in state and local contract opportunities. The notice addresses Marion County Solid Waste's procurement for two cubic yard stationary garbage compactor units, specifically Cram-A-Lot Model ST-2HF or approved equivalent equipment. The compactor units must include remote hydraulic power units, controls, installation, startup, testing, and all required documentation meeting specified structural, hydraulic, electrical, UL, OSHA, and ANSI standards. Vendors proposing alternate or "approved equal" products must submit these through the Public Q & A Message section of the solicitation for review and approval prior to the bid submission deadline. Any proposed alternatives require county approval before final bid submission.
Marion County mandates vendor registration through PaymentWorks, its secure vendor portal system, to facilitate payment processing and vendor management. Upon registration, vendors may select payment methods including ACH direct deposit or check payments, with ACH identified as the faster and more secure option. Existing vendors with prior business relationships with Marion County are not required to register to continue doing business; however, any updates to company information such as addresses, email, banking details, or other critical data must be completed through PaymentWorks to avoid potential payment delays. Vendors should direct registration questions to PaymentWorks Support or Marion County Procurement at Procurement@MarionFL.org.
