About this file

This document is a set of general information requirements and terms and conditions issued by Snow College in Utah for a contract opportunity involving the removal and installation of a gas fireplace insert. The project requires the removal and disposal of an existing wood burning stove insert and the installation of a Regency LRi4E Gas Fireplace Insert with specified components, including a brick liner kit, ceramic log set, and backing plate. The scope of work encompasses running new concealed gas lines, installing new intake and exhaust chimney liners with termination caps, completing electrical and control connections, and setting up and testing the fireplace insert with remote control thermostat programming. A mandatory walkthrough is required on Thursday, February 26th, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at 130 N 460 E, Ephraim, UT 84642, and a representative from each bidding company must be present for the bid to be considered. The selected vendor will provide all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete the project to specification, with all work required to meet local fire and safety codes for the state of Utah. The contractor must provide a one-year installation warranty on all work performed and fully test and demonstrate the new system to the homeowner.

The bidding process awards the contract to the responsive and responsible vendor submitting the lowest priced bid. Suppliers proposing subcontracts must explicitly state this in their proposal and provide subcontractor names, addresses, and purposes, with approval required from the College Purchasing Department prior to subcontract award. Any subcontracting will require bonds, with pricing of bonds included in the total bid price as the awarded supplier's responsibility. Suppliers must maintain Commercial General Liability insurance with per occurrence limits of at least $1,000,000 and general aggregate limits of at least $2,000,000, as well as other applicable insurance coverage. Payment and performance bonds may be required if the supplier requires money down or uses subcontractors, with bond pricing included in the total bid price. The College will make payment upon satisfaction of the project manager and total project completion. All insurance certificates must be submitted to Snow College Purchasing Department prior to contract commencement, with thirty calendar days' written notice required prior to any cancellation or material change of coverage.
