About this file
This Scope of Work document involves the Utah Department of Public Safety (DPS), Utah Fairpark Area Investment and Restoration District (UFAIR), Salt Lake City (SLC), and the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) for a surveillance equipment procurement project along the Jordan River Trail. The contract is specifically for purchasing surveillance trailers and activity deterrence pole cameras, with DPS leading the initiative and using Milestone and Wave Video Management Software systems. The contract will be for 5 years, with vendor pricing guaranteed for the first year, and order placement will occur immediately upon contract execution.
The procurement seeks two primary hardware components: surveillance trailers with specific technical requirements (including 5G cellular modems, solar panel arrays, PTZ and fixed IP cameras, and network audio capabilities) and activity deterrence pole cameras with integrated features like 4G LTE cellular modems, network horns, and LED warning lights. The total project is funded through DPS, UFAIR, and DNR, with DPS managing data collection, storage, and monitoring. The solicitation requires a local vendor capable of on-site maintenance and repair, and all cameras must be compatible with Milestone and Wave VMS systems for real-time event sharing between DPS and Salt Lake City Police Department.
