About this file
This document is an Appendix A (Measurement and Payment) for the Southwest Regional Water Reclamation Facility Landscape Buffer project, detailing the specific measurement and payment procedures for various construction and landscaping work items. The document outlines 13 distinct bid items covering project mobilization, insurance, bonds, site restoration, landscaping, fencing, irrigation, and related site improvements. Key work elements include installing Slender Weavers Bamboo plants, constructing an earthen berm, placing sod, installing solid PVC fencing, removing existing fencing, adjusting existing gates, installing windscreen slats, and implementing irrigation piping and control systems.
The payment structure is comprehensively detailed, with each bid item specifying measurement methods (such as linear foot, square yard, or lump sum) and full compensation terms. The contract requires the contractor to assume all risks in determining work quantities and includes overhead, equipment, labor, and material costs within the unit prices. Partial payments are structured with specific conditions, such as no more than 75% payment for bamboo plants and sod until 30 days of maintenance are completed or substantial completion is achieved. The bid items are designed to cover a complete, finished project with all necessary incidental work, ensuring that no additional payments will be made beyond the specified contract bid schedules except through authorized change orders.
