About this file

This document is a specifications appendix for the City of Harrisburg Bureau of Fire, detailing renovation requirements for Fire Stations #1 and #2 located at 1820 North 6th Street and 140 North 16th Street in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The project encompasses interior renovation work including demolition and reconstruction of bunk rooms, restroom/shower facilities, and offices at both stations. Scope of work includes partitions, doors, interior glazed openings, architectural built-in casework, painting, plumbing fixtures, domestic water and sanitary waste distribution, HVAC redistribution, electrical service redistribution, and interior lighting. The project will proceed with partial owner occupancy, with the City of Harrisburg occupying premises outside construction areas throughout the entire construction period. Interested prime and subcontractors must identify their bidding interest through the project profile on PennBid, which serves as the sole source of accurate bidding information and requirements.

The specifications establish that all bidding requirements are contained within the bid solicitation and PennBid profile, and bids containing omissions based on industry assumptions will be deemed non-responsive. Prospective bidders are required to review all supporting documentation and project details prior to submitting inquiries or attending site visits. A questions and answers guide is available within the solicitation documents and must be consulted before submitting questions. The document emphasizes strict compliance with specified requirements, as PennBid is designated as the authoritative source for all bidding information and project specifications related to this Fire Station Upgrades project.
