About this file

This document is Amendment 002 to Solicitation 47PF0024R0073 for the Design and Construction of the Carl B. Stokes U.S. Courthouse Plaza Replacement in Chicago, Illinois. The amendment provides answers to several questions related to the solicitation requirements, including confirmation that the proposal cover and cover letter are included in the page count, that email verification of the VETS-4212 form is sufficient, and details on the Lead Designer submittal requirements. The project scope includes replacing the failing waterproofing system, refinishing and reinforcing the structural steel supporting the plaza, repairing fireproofing, and completing an unconstructed plaza area. The project is funded under the Inflation Reduction Act and will incorporate renewable energy, water reclamation, and pedestrian accessibility features. The procurement is being conducted using the FAR Two-Phase Design-Build Selection Procedures, with a virtual pre-proposal meeting scheduled for September 30, 2024 and proposals due October 28, 2024. A maximum of three offerors will be selected to proceed to Phase II.
