About this file
This is a Scope of Work document from the Nevada Department of Corrections (NDOC) for medical equipment and x-ray machine preventative maintenance and electrical safety checks. The project encompasses nine correctional facilities across Nevada, including Ely State Prison, Florence McClure Women's Correctional Center, High Desert State Prison, Jean Conservation Camp, Lovelock Correctional Center, Northern Nevada Correctional Center, Southern Desert Correctional Center, Warm Springs Correctional Center, and Casa Grande Transitional Housing. NDOC is soliciting qualified vendors to provide semi-annual on-site preventive maintenance, inspections, calibration, electrical safety testing, and staff training services on a semi-annual basis. The scope of work requires operational verification and electrical safety inspections of all equipment, performance assurance inspections, calibration and routine maintenance as needed, labeling of inspected equipment, comprehensive documentation with individual inspection reports, and in-service training for facility staff. Service visits must be scheduled with a minimum of two days' notice, and facilities in the same geographical area should be coordinated for efficiency.
The contract requires all work to be performed during normal facility operating hours with potential escort requirements, and vendors must bring all necessary supplies and equipment during initial facility entry due to security constraints. NDOC will provide applicable disposable and consumable items necessary to perform inspections and services. All personnel entering correctional facilities must pass NDOC background checks, complete PREA and security training, and submit required forms at least ten working days prior to beginning work. Convicted felons are ineligible for facility access. The contract includes a one-year warranty on all work performed and materials furnished. NDOC reserves the right to add new equipment and facilities with price quotes obtained from awarded vendors, and major repairs may be handled separately unless approved in writing by both parties. Vendors must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local safety standards, including OSHA requirements, with no additional compensation provided for code and regulatory compliance.
