Questions & Answers Question 1: Has system been assembled and disassembled?

Answer 1: The system will be partially assembled at the factory to check fit-up.

Answer 2: No, any levelling of the hutch wall will be accomplished with lead shims (this should be minimal).

Question 3: How deep are the floor penetrations for the door trenches?

Answer 3: 2 inches.

Question 4: Is hammering considered noisy work?

Answer 4: Daily toolbox meetings will occur to discuss the day’s work and any work that includes disruptive noise or vibration will be planned accordingly as to not disrupt sensitive equipment.

Question 5: Floor flashing of lead is not preformed; it is flat, correct?

Answer 5: Yes, floor flashing of lead is not preformed. This is to be bent up by Contractor during installation.

Question 6: Will pre-existing compressed air and water stub outs be removed before installation?

Answer 6: No, those are staying and will deliver utilities to the hutch, but will not interfere with the hutch installation.

Question 7: Will contractor be responsible for electrical?

Answer 7: No, contractor will not be responsible for electrical work; this is BSA’s responsibility. Contractor will only be responsible for temporary lighting.

Question 8: Will lead gaskets come in roll or sheets?

Answer 8: Lead gaskets will come in pre-cut, flat strips, some trimming will be required.

Question 9: What type of fasteners will go into the concrete walls?

Answer 9: Expansion type anchors. All fasteners are provided by BSA.
