About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) Log related to a state and local contract opportunity in Pennsylvania. The contract is for the replacement of 11,283 linear feet of 10-inch and 6-inch water main, fire hydrants, valves, and tie-ins located at Fort Indiantown Gap. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for June 6, 2024, and questions are due by June 14, 2024. Bids are due on June 26, 2024, and must be submitted electronically through the Pennsylvania Supplier Portal. The estimated range for the general construction work is $1,500,001.00 to $2,000,000.00, with liquidated damages of $500.00 per day.

The document provides responses to various requests for information, including the requirement for a contract bond, responsibility for testing and inspection costs, handling of existing underground utilities, procedures for stockpiling excess materials, and requirements for work associated with state roads and stream crossings. The responses also address the depth of the new water lines, the diameter of specific pipe sections, and the need for temporary paving in parking lots.
