About this file

This is an E-Verify certification form required by the City of St. George, Utah for the 250 West Street Reconstruction project (Blackridge Drive to Tech Ridge Parkway). The City of St. George is requesting construction bids for street reconstruction work. Contractors must submit a bid bond equal to 5% of the bid amount, issued by a surety company licensed in Utah and on a bond form acceptable to the city. The project will require 100% payment and performance bonds upon contract award. No specific response date, due date, site visit schedule, or bidders' conference information is provided in this certification document.

The E-Verify certification form establishes compliance requirements for legal work status and employment eligibility verification. Contractors and all subcontractors must certify that they do not knowingly employ workers in violation of 8 USC 1324a and must use E-Verify to verify employment eligibility for all employees. Contractors must require subcontractors to sign the certification before work begins and maintain authorized E-Verify documentation. Violations of these requirements may result in unilateral contract cancellation, suspension from future City projects for one year, and contractor liability for all associated termination costs, including damages and attorney fees. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or waive any formality or technicality in proposals.
