About this file
This is a general information requirements document associated with Snow College's Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a used touring motorcoach style bus with 56-58 passenger capacity, model year 2020 or newer. The procurement is being conducted by Snow College in Utah. The document establishes procedural requirements and contract terms that bidders must follow during the bid process, which extends from the date of issue through contract award or final decision. Snow College's Purchasing Department serves as the sole official source of information regarding the bid, and all communications from other sources must be confirmed with the assigned buyer in Purchasing Services. The bid evaluation will assess responsiveness in accordance with the Utah Procurement Code, and bidders must comply with all specifications identified in the IFB. Snow College will accept only one primary bid per vendor; multiple or alternate quotes will not be accepted, and any additional charges will not be allowed after the bid is awarded.
For subcontracting arrangements, bidders must obtain prior written approval from the College Purchasing Department and must provide proposed subcontractor names, addresses, and the purpose of the subcontract work. Subcontracts require performance and/or payment bonds, with the bond pricing included as part of the total bid price and the responsibility of the awarded supplier. Bidders must maintain Commercial General Liability insurance with per occurrence limits of at least $1,000,000 and general aggregate limits of at least $2,000,000, as well as Business Automobile Liability and Professional Liability insurance as applicable, with all policies naming Snow College as an additional insured. All insurance certificates must be submitted prior to contract commencement and must provide thirty days' written notice of cancellation or material changes. Suppliers requiring money down or utilizing subcontractors may be eliminated from consideration unless they provide performance and/or payment bonds in the full bid amount. Payment will be made upon satisfaction of the project manager and total project completion. Utah law applies to all disputes arising from the bid or resulting contract, with venue in a Utah court of competent jurisdiction selected by Snow College.
