About this file

This is Addendum #1 to the Pioneer Road Improvements Project specifications and drawings issued by the City of Draper, Utah on August 28, 2026. The addendum modifies the original bidding documents for the City Hall parking lot expansion and fenced dumpster pad construction project. Key modifications include revisions to the site grading and volume summary on drawing CP-2, removal of four notes from drawing SD-01, addition of a Concrete Pipe Bollard detail, replacement of the cleanout box detail on drawing DT-4, modification of the dumpster pad concrete thickness to 8 inches, and removal of three detail standards (SD-02, SD-04, and SD-07) no longer applicable to the project. The bid schedule includes 14 items in Schedule A (mandatory items) ranging from Stormwater Pollution Prevention as a lump sum to Note 7 Grading Gravel at 402 square feet, and 11 optional items in Schedule B including clearing and grubbing, asphalt removal, site grading (185 cubic yards), and concrete sidewalk installation (737 square feet). In case of conflict between the drawings, specifications, and addendum, the addendum governs.

The addendum clarifies measurement and payment provisions for untreated base course (UDOT 2721), specifying that quantities are calculated by cubic yards for asphalt areas with no allowances made for placement outside specified dimensions, and that finish grading of the subgrade is included in the unit price. Note 7 Grading Gravel is measured and paid by square foot of area used to daylight to existing grade regardless of depth. Excavation and site grading under Schedule B are calculated by cubic yards using average areas and distances, with the unit price including excavation, sloping, hauling, spreading, compacting, and subgrade preparation to within one-half inch of established grade. All contract pricing includes full compensation for labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete work as shown on plans and as directed by the Engineer, in accordance with UDOT Standard Specifications sections 02220, 02230, and 02240.
