About this file

This is an evaluation criteria document from Boulder County Procurement for the Weed and Wildfire Mitigation Goat Browsing Pilot 2026 contract opportunity. Boulder County Parks and Open Space (BCPOS) Noxious Weed Department is seeking a vendor to provide goat browsing services for a trial pilot program designed to evaluate goat browsing effectiveness for general weed control, fire mitigation, and weed control in revegetation and restoration areas. The browsing will occur exclusively on BCPOS-owned properties, with some activities taking place within irrigation ditch corridors. Certain areas will require browsing twice during the growing season. The browsing program has a maximum duration of 100 days and will support Boulder County's Integrated Weed Management Plan requirements.

The evaluation committee will assess proposals using a 100-point scoring matrix based on the following weighted criteria: information presented in the proposal (20 points), ability to provide quality and timely products and services (20 points), vendor qualifications and experience (20 points), total cost or proposed pricing (20 points), proposed project completion timeline (15 points), and any other relevant factors determined by the county (5 points). The selection committee may request additional information from vendors and may conduct interviews with one or more vendors before making final selection recommendations. Pricing, project completion timeline, and vendor experience are equally weighted as primary evaluation factors in this procurement.
