About this file

This is a Quick Entry Guide for using the Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) to enter NIST SP 800-171 Assessment data, published by NSLC Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. The guide provides step-by-step instructions for accessing and using SPRS to submit assessments that demonstrate compliance with NIST SP 800-171 requirements for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) in nonfederal systems.

The guide details specific procedures including: obtaining PIEE access with a "SPRS Cyber Vendor User" role, accessing the SPRS application through piee.eb.mil, creating assessment headers for Highest Level Owner (HLO) CAGE codes, entering basic assessment information, and editing existing assessments. It explains that companies can have up to four confidence levels per HLO (Basic, Medium, High Virtual, and High On-site) and notes that CAGE hierarchy data is imported from SAM with updates typically flowing to SPRS within 48 hours. The document is version 3.2.13 dated December 2020 and includes screenshots demonstrating the key steps in the assessment entry process.
