RE: Mechanical (from VA)
1. Is PRV-56 actually two 1/3, 2/3 steam stations as shown on M503? If so, four 2” PRV’s seems oversized for the application.
2. Additional information:
a. M402, Detail 1 shows PRV-56 @ 528 lbs/hr, with 30 PSI pressure upstream
b. M503, Detail 6 shows Qty (4) PRV’s, two sets of 1/3, 2/3, with 15 PSI pressure upstream, 528 lbs/hr with 30 PSI15 PSI could be handled with Qty(1) ¾” valve and Qty (1) 1” valve, but the PRV schedule for PRV-56 shows a 2” valve handling 1060 lbs/hr.
3. Is a spring diaphragm pilot all that is required for PRV-56? Generally, a temperature pilot is also added.
Summary
