About this file
This document is Amendment 0006 to Solicitation 36C78626B0005 issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs National Cemetery Administration for Project 909CM3030, Cemetery Expansion and Site Improvements at Fort Custer National Cemetery, with an effective date of September 29, 2026.
The amendment provides answers to five Requests for Information (RFIs) numbered 45-49 regarding architectural specifications and materials. RFI 45 clarifies that the contractor must provide a basis of design product for heavy-duty traffic epoxy floor coating, specifying ArmorGarage Military Industrial Epoxy Floor System or an approved equal high-build industrial epoxy coating system with manufacturer-recommended primer and topcoats. RFI 46 requires the contractor to supply Foundation Armor SX5000 penetrating concrete sealer or an approved equal penetrating solvent-based silane siloxane concrete sealer for horizontal concrete surfaces and vehicular traffic, with slip resistance provided by concrete slab surface texture. RFI 47 clarifies design intent for CMU construction up to 8 feet above finished floor with metal building framing and metal wall panels above that height, noting that detail drawing titles C4 and C7 should be reversed. RFI 48 directs contractors to Specification Section 10 14 00 regarding bronze service seals, requiring provision of six military branch seals for new Committal Shelter C and removal and reinstallation of existing seals plus addition of a Space Force seal for existing Committal Shelters A and B. RFI 49 requires contractors to match existing trash receptacles and benches on site, providing two wood grain plastic benches to match existing installations and submit product data for approval prior to ordering.
