Remote Control Valve A1: Hunter I-40 rotor sprinklers and
Hunter PGP rotor sprinklers are on the same lateral. These two sprinklers have very different precipitation rates and the zone should be split between the two types of sprinklers.
There is also a lateral pipe leak on the south end of the zone adjacent to the roadway.
Hunter I-40 rotor sprinklers and Hunter
I-20 rotor sprinklers are on the same lateral. These two sprinklers have very different precipitation rates and should all be I-40 sprinklers. The part circle sprinkler adjacent to the fence was broken. Use #43 nozzles for the full circle I-40 sprinklers and #41 nozzle for the part circle sprinkler. Remove the existing approximately 15 I-20 sprinklers and turn them over to the Owner's representative. Abandon the existing pipe in place and use new CL 200 PVC pipe sized as shown. The existing remote control valve location and wiring will be reused, A new 2-inch hunter ICV vavle will be installed and the existing 1
1/2-inch vavle will be turned over to the owner's Representative. Backfill all holes and trenches and compact to match surrounding conditions.
remote control valve A3: Hunter
I-40 rotor sprinklers with full circle radius and part circle radius are on the same lateral. The part circle rotor sprinklers should have a lower flow nozzle to match the precipitation rate of the full circle.
Red #18 nozzles are recommended to compliment the black #28 nozzles used on the full circle sprinklers. The pressure noted at the sprinkler adjacent to the fence line was 30PSI lower than the sprinkler adjacent to the roadway closest to the remote control valve assembly. Check for debris in pipe and correct lateral pipe sizing.
Remote Control Valve Assembly
A4: Three sprinklers noted during the site visit were too low and need to be raised so that the sprinkler cap is even with the final grade. The remote control valve assembly also has a broken solenoid wire in the valve box.
Remote Control Valve Assembly A5:
Hunter I-40 rotor sprinklers with full circle radius and part circle radius are on the same lateral. The part circle rotor sprinklers should have a lower flow nozzle to match the precipitation rate of the full circle. Red #18 nozzles are recommended to compliment the black
#28 nozzles used on the full circle sprinklers.
Remote Control Valve
Assembly A6: Valve box is currently in contact with the top of the remote control valve flow control handle.
Lower the valve assembly 3-5 inches to provide clearance between the top of the valve assembly and the bottom of the valve box lid.
Remote Control Valve Assembly
A7: Valve box is currently above the surrounding final grade, lower the valve box so the top is even with the final grade. There are six Hunter I-40 sprinklers with black #28 nozzles spaced 30-feet apart. The radius of that sprinkler/nozzle combination at
70 PSI is 70'. Recommend using
Hunter I-20 sprinklers with the correct nozzle for the radius.
