Metal stairs will be pre-engineered steel stair systems in which the manufacturer will provide sign and sealed calculations during the shop drawing process that Pangolin, the AE structural engineer will review. The overall structural calculations for the building overall were provided by Pangolin in the 100% submission to the VA. Engineered design and calculations will be required by the contractor for steel stairs, railings, elevators, cold-formed steel. See Deferred Submittal section of S001 for Structural Deferred Submittals.
