About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a solicitation for an Information Technology and Office Automation (IOTA) contract to provide services to the Department of Veterans Affairs. The solicitation requests that the signage plan be included in the comprehensive interior design plan. It also modifies the requirements for the IOTA contractor in developing a master key plan and installing cores, now requiring the contractor only assist in key plan development and removing the core installation requirement. If installation assistance is needed later, the contract will be modified. The general contractor, not the IOTA contractor, will be responsible for providing door numbers and new cores in time for police and locksmith services to utilize the information.

(25.) Should we assume the AE is handling the signage plan completely?
Answer: No. Signage should be included in the comprehensive interior design/space plan.
Edited answer: The signage plan deliverable has been added to the PWS under Section 16.2 Deliverable 16.2.9.
(22.) Master Key Plan – Are you saying the IOT contractor is responsible to install all the cores? Please reconsider this .. it should be general contractor installed.
Answer: Reference Page 16 of the PWS, Deliverable 16.2.4. IOTA Contractor is responsible for the planning and installation of the cores.
Edited Answer: At this time the IOTA contractor will assist in the development of the Key plan, working with Police and Engineering services. In the event we need assistance installing, we will modify the contract when more information is known. Deliverable 16.2.4 has been modified to remove the requirement for the IOTA contractor to install Cores.
(23) The door numbers and new cores is something the general contractor should be handling – The general contractor should provide this list to us in time to gather the information necessary with the services to provide back to the Police and VA Locksmith. Please update the PWS.
Answer: See answer to 22 above.
Edit Answer: See Edited answer to 22 above.
