RFI’s 22‐31

Question 22 [EDS]

Q: Our vendors need to know the manufacturer of the existing Switchboard and Panels as well as model/catalog numbers of the gear on each to get the correct new circuit breakers for replacement and addition.

1.On drawing set 3 of 5 page E‐601, the single line indicates that (2) new 800A 480/277V circuit breakers are to be installed in an existing 1200A 480/277V Switchboard for the new 800A ATS’s. (WLA)

2. This also applies to drawing set 3 of 5 page E‐602. There is an existing 800A 120/208V Panel DB301 PL that is calling for (3) new circuit breakers as well. (WLA)

3. Drawing set 3 of 5 page E‐603 Key Note #2 – Replace (2) existing 125A 3P 480/277V circuit breakers with new 200A 3P 480/277V circuit breakers in existing Switchboard EDSA as well as the addition of (2) new 200A 3P 480V breakers. (SACC)

A: Suggested response:

1. The 1200A 480/277V Switchboard is new not existing. See keynote 1 on E‐601. Contractor to select manufacturer of the new switchboard.

2. Manufacturer of this switchboard is C.G.I Systems Serial No. 843‐2

3. Manufacturer of this switchboard is GE (AV‐Line Switchboard)

Question 23 [EDS]

Q: Drawing set 2 of 5 page E‐001 General Note #27 states that the A and B system Vertical PDU Strips are to be rated for 20A 120/208V with L21‐20 plugs.

Drawing set 5 of 5 pages W.500.T‐405A Key Notes #2 and #3 state that the bus duct circuit breaker boxes are to be 30A/3P 120/208V rated with L21‐30 receptacles at the end.

Drawing set 3 of 5 page W.500.E‐404 and Drawing set 5 of 5 page W.500.T‐405C both have Server Rack and Data Rack Schedules with the configurations. They consist of all L21‐20 circuits/receptacles with the exception of (4) L21‐30 circuits/receptacles.

Are the current schedules accurate or is there another configuration for Rows (A), (B), and (C)?

A: Suggested response: Please follow Server Rack and Data Rack Schedule as shown on W.500.T‐405C

Question 24 [EDS]

Q: On drawing set 3 of 5 page E-604, the single line indicates that (1) new 200A 480V feeder for UPS B and the same for UPS B NOTE 6.(Both UPS’s are named UPS B). At the UPS Maintenance Bypass, it shows an external splice and they also feed the main UPS with the same feeder as the Maintenance Bypass. Please Clarify the following:

a. Is this a dual Input UPS System?

b. Are there supposed to be (2) Feeders, if so, are they both landing in the

Maintenance Bypass, and where is the 2nd feeder sourced?

c. Clarify the workings of this splice above if single input.

The UPS’s are rated at 125kVA, the PDU’s are rated at 150kVA, can we size both the UPS’s and the PDU’s at 125kVA?

A: Suggested response: UPS call out at the top should be UPS A

a. Yes. The same feeder splits into two input.

b. No. Single feeder as called out.

c. It is not a splice box. It is an existing pull box.

Question 25 [EDS]

Q: On drawing set 3 of 5 page S.201.E-402, Electrical Enlarged Plan NOTE A shows the UPS sitting on a housekeeping pad and the housekeeping pad on slab. Is TR 111on entirely on slab, as the conduit routing has it shown as to “Install under raised floor” coming out of the UPS’s into the Data Center.

Please advise on how to proceed.

A: Suggested response: Please disregard the concrete graphic. The UPS will sit on an existing computer room raised with new seismic support underneath it. Please see structure drawings.

Question 26 [EDS]

Q: 1.On drawing set 3 of 5 page E-604, the single line, Note 2 we are to replace (1) breaker with a 200AF/AT 3 Pole Breaker. There are (2) of these. We need to identify Panel EDSA, the manufacturer, model, and type of breaker that is to be installed within EDSA.

1. On drawing set 3 of 5 page E-604, the single line, No Note we are to install (1) breaker with a 200AF 175AT 3- Pole Breaker. There are (1) of these. We need to identify Panel EDSA, the manufacturer, model, and type of breaker that is to be installed within EDSA.

2. On drawing set 3 of 5 page E-604, the single line, Note 1 we are to replace trip unit on (1) breaker. There are (2) of these. We need to identify make and model number of the Breaker and Trip unit for these replacements.

a. Please advise on how to proceed.

A: Suggested response: Repeat Question. Please see response to Q22

2. The trip can be dialed down instead of replacing it. It is a GE AV‐Line

Switchboard with adjustable trip breaker. See attached photo of

EDSA.

Question 27 [EDS]

Q: 1.On drawing set 3 of 5 page S.201.E-405 Electrical Roof Enlarged. Note 1 we are to install (1) 30-amp 3pole NEMA 3R Disconnect per Condensing Unit. Each Condenser has (2) Note 1’s, do you want/need (2) Disconnects per Condenser?

Please advise on how to proceed.

A: Suggested response: Just one disconnect per condenser. Disregard the second Keynote 1 call out

Question 28 [EDS]

Q: Sheet E607 appears to show new electrical equipment but is unclear where this equipment is located. Please clarify if this equipment is to be provided as new and provide the locations of the equipment.

A: Suggested response: Please disregard this drawing E‐607.

Question 29 [EDS]

Q: Sheet E607 references plan ES-101, but this plan sheet has not been provided. Please provide this missing plan sheet which is critical to be able to provide pricing for this project.

Question 30 [EDS]

Q: Sheet E-608 shows all the lines as greyed out which would indicate existing equipment and feeders, however the feeder notes are in bold and show conduit and wire sizes.

Please clarify what the contractor is to provide.

A: Suggested response: Please disregard this drawing E‐608

Question 31 [EDS]

Q: Sheets W.E-001 and W.E-002 are listed in the drawing title box at the bottom of the page as Electrical Site Plan, however no electrical site plan details are shown on these pages. Please clarify.

A: Suggested response: No new electrical on these site plan. It is there to show buildings which has electrical work inside under this project.
