SPECIFICATION
SECTION:
DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM OR INFORMATION BEING REQUESTED
Please be specific as possible:
VHA 1061 Requires that water temperature in the hot and cold potable water distribution systems needs to be monitored continuously. The SOW lists 10 buildings that need to be monitored, but there is no indication of how many temperature monitors are required for locations throughout each building. Can you please provide the quantity of temperature monitors required for each building (not including the incoming building water supply)?
Per the directive: Water Temperature Monitoring. The water temperature in the hot and cold potable water distribution systems needs to be monitored continuously to determine if temperatures are within the established control limits. Temperature monitoring must be conducted, at a minimum, in the following types of areas: water storage tanks, hot water discharge at the hot water source equipment, hot water return proximal to the hot water source equipment, water at the return of circulation loops, and water supplied to representative outlets (e.g., loop or branch, hydraulic remoteness, flow).
PROJECT MANAGER’S RESPONSE
Temperature monitoring at end points are currently being conducted to meet this Directive. For purpose of response to this RFI, only feed point temperature monitoring is required.
