About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) related to Solicitation Number 36C26024R0106 for the 668-21-102 Upgrade AHU-1 and AHU-4 Mechanical Systems project issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 20.

The RFI addresses several key details about the project, including inquiries about an asbestos survey, asbestos abatement quantities and locations, potential impacts to the project timeline due to longer than expected air handling unit lead times, and the need for temporary air service during the upgrades. The RFI also seeks clarification on any preferred work sequencing or phasing. The solicitation indicates a 214 calendar day period of performance from the notice to proceed, though the RFI raises concerns about whether this timeline will need to be extended to allow for the air handling unit manufacturing and installation.
