About this file

This is a comprehensive set of specifications for a roof replacement project at the Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center in Muskogee, Oklahoma. The project involves re-roofing portions of Buildings 24, 1E, and 1C, with a total roof area of approximately 8,325 square feet. The scope includes complete roof removal, installation of new Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) roofing membrane, removal of existing insulation, and addressing potential asbestos-containing materials during the roofing process.

Key technical specifications include installing a 1.5 mm thick TPO membrane with fabric backing, using polyisocyanurate insulation with a minimum R-value of 33, and implementing specific surface preparation and installation techniques. The project requires strict adherence to safety protocols, including asbestos abatement procedures, infection control standards, and comprehensive documentation. The contractor must be licensed in Oklahoma, provide engineering support, technical manuals, and complete the work following VA and industry standards for roofing installation and medical facility renovations.
