Q&A

Solicitation #36C25920Q0723

Q. Please provide the last inspection reports for 3 patient buildings and 23 support buildings, including the most recent Joint Commission reports. The purpose of this request is to allow for an accurate point count.

A. PDF with the title that includes “Accreditation Reports” is the Joint Commission report. As for the last inspection reports, they fill two three ring binders and are not currently electronically available. Potential vendors are welcome to review these binders during the site visit.

Q. Will a site visit be allowed in order to get locations of panels and other equipment? If so, when can this visit be allowed?

A. Yes.

Date: 09/21/2020.

Time: 9:30am Mountain Standard Time.

Location: George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center, 500 Foothill Drive, Building #6, Engineering Building, Salt Lake City, Utah, 84148. The bottom of Kisters Street on the NW side and the bottom of Wahlen Way on the south side. Valdez Drive runs along the west side of the Building 6 parking lot.

Greeters will be outside to direct participants to the engineering training room and to let participants into the building.

Q. Please provide CAD files with device locations and floor plans for all buildings included in this solicitation.

A. PDF of the CAD files is attached

Q. Please provide clarification from document 36C25920Q0723_1 “Contract Opportunity Combined Synopsis/Solicitation Notice”, Section SP3: Specialized Training. Please confirm that this is not a requirement for this solicitation as this scope of work does not require a doctorate degree to be performed.

A. No doctorate degree required.

Q. Is there a current incumbent? Can you please provide the company name and contract number?

Q. Please provide a device quantity for each item on the covered equipment list. (Bidders need this to calculate man hours and price.)

A. The inventory is attached.

Q. What model is the Siemens system? XLS, MXL, or Desigo.

A. Siemens XLS and running Cerberus DMS Q. What month is the Annual and Quarterlies currently scheduled?

A. The attached “Fire Safety Matrix” provides exactly when the previous testing was conducted and the associated Joint Commission requirements. The successful bidder will work closely with the COR to keep the matrix updated. All reporting format is based off of the Elements of Performance (EP’s) identified in this matrix.

Q. What is the current contract number?

A. 36C25919C0180 Q. Is the 5-year internal sprinkler inspection included or excluded from the SOW?

A. Included as per the schedule identified in the attached “Fire Safety Matrix” Q. Are Fire Door and Fire/Smoke damper inspections included? If so, how many of each are there?

A. Fire Doors are not included, they are handled internally by VA. Dampers are included and are identified in the attached Fire Alarm Inventory.
