001.

Referencing Sage Glass

In addendum A, the Specifications included:

1. SPECIFICATION SECTION 08 81 80, Interior Special Function Glazing (new Section)

1. SPECIFICATION SECTION 08 88 00, Exterior Special Function Glazing (revised Section)

The Drawings included:

Sheet AF 601, in which Interior Finish Legend: Finish O-11 is Revised. It addressed the Special Functioning Glazing and states that the Exterior Windows are to receive the Insulating Units (spec section 08 88 00) and at Patient Rooms Laminated Glazing (spec section 08 81 80)

The contractor should look at the floor plans to determine the quantity.

Note: per Specification Section 01 00 00 these items are listed in the bid items as follows:

Base Bid: Added the exterior windows to receive the Special Functioning Glazing (spec section 08 88 00).

Deductive Bid Alternate 1: Delete the change to the exterior windows (the Special Functioning Glazing (spec section 08 88 00)).

Deductive Bid Alternate 2, item 1: Change the Laminated Glass, with Smart Screen Switchable Privacy Glass, identified as O-11 and remove the associated power, provide tempered glass instead. This is for the Interior Special Functioning Glazing (spec section 08 81 80)

Attached is a revised Specification Section 01 00 00 to further clarify the terminology to match the elements as described in Addendum A.

Contractors are not sharing all of the project information with the vendors; hence the discrepancy is based on how the contractor interprets the bid documents.
