Questions and Answers 36C25722Q0709 Solar Parking Lot Light Repair
1. Are we to dispose/abate of any asbestos, lead, mold or other hazardous material as part of this project? If so, provide appropriate hazardous material site survey report. Nothing hazardous to abate or dispose of except maybe to recycle batteries.
2. What will the ICRA level be for this project? This work is all outdoors, no risk of infection control, except that contractor workers cannot use hospital bathrooms
3. Are there any required subcontractors associated with this project? No. Except, if the main contractor deems it okay and hires one.
4. Will all work associated with this project able to be performed during regular working hours? Yes
5. It is our understanding that the Solicitation is a negotiated Bid (RFP) design-bid-build project with the Government's AE being responsible for the design portion (providing a full and complete set of Specifications and Plans) and the successful offeror being responsible for bidding and building the project based on the Specifications and Plans provided by the Government's AE. Put another way, the successful offeror will not be required to perform any design-build services as part of the contract - correct? This is not a design-build project. It’s not a negotiated bid offering. It’s a price fixed contract.
6. Will there be any diagram submitted regarding relocating solar charging equipment on the existing light poles, or will that be up to the contractor to figure out? Relocation spots for the lights will be identified and provided to the winner of the bid. All relocations will be on Temple VA campus.
7. Are there part numbers to match the brand names and descriptions of the solar equipment given in Part ‘g’ of the Scope of Work? Catalogs of the required components were included in the solicitation and uploaded individually under amendment 0001 on Contract Opportunities.
8. Is there a method of procedures or a specific parts list that is specified / recommended for part
a. of the Scope of Work? I don’t understand this question. Please read the documents provided with the solicitation.
9. Please clarify a total footage for the displacement of the (8) pole lights, in Part ‘d’ of the scope of work. (A diagram showing start and finish locations would also be helpful). Please see question # 6 for answer.
10. Is there a preferred 12V battery charger? Dewalt., Schumacker Black & Decker, could be accepted, however, cutsheet may need to be submitted for approved before purchasing.
