About this file

This document is an amendment to a federal solicitation (RFP 36C25625R0055) for repairing and replacing fire alarm systems at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS). The amendment provides eight additional requirements for the contract, including: 1) a 5-year warranty for intrusion detection systems, 2) full hardware and software ownership transfer to the VA, 3) revised training requirements for fire alarm and intrusion detection system personnel, 4) manufacturer-provided training for eight VA Electronic Technologies employees, and 5-6) sponsorship requirements ensuring VA has full operational and ownership control of both fire alarm and intrusion detection systems. The final two requirements (7-8) specify technical details such as relocating a fire panel due to moisture issues and connecting an existing fire cabinet in the Fisher House to the VA fire alarm system.
