About this file

This specification document outlines requirements for intermediate, intensive, and critical care unit entrance doors for a federal construction project. Aluminum framed sliding and swinging ICU/CCU entrance assemblies are required, including doors, sidelites, framing, headers, carrier assemblies, hardware, and accessories. Sliding doors must be single slide units with 36 inch minimum clear opening width. Swinging doors must be manually operated and smoke rated per NFRC and UL standards. Anodized or powder coated aluminum finishes are specified. The entrance components, materials, fabrication, installation, and warranty requirements are defined.

The related federal contract opportunity is for renovating an existing unit at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona to create a progressive care unit. The solicitation number and opportunity details provided match this construction project requiring ICU/CCU entrance doors.
